Update: Ohio Construction Reform Panel SAO Members, The following is a link to the April 2009 Report of the Ohio Construction Reform Panel.  The SAO is committed to following this initiative closely and monitoring its impact on our industry.  Currently, the board is working diligently to script a response to the panel and offer guidance from the surety perspective.  We welcome your comments and suggestions at ohiosurety@yahoo.com. Ohio Construction Reform Panel SAO Members, At the March 24, 2009 SAO meeting, Greg Stewart and Howard Krisher from the Ohio Construction Reform Panel discussed proposed changes that are being evaluated by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services.  It is clear that there is still a lot of work to be done, but that the surety industry has been overlooked and needs to have a voice in the game.  The association will continue our efforts and we would like to have your thoughts as well.   Below are links to the two documents that Mr. Stewart and Mr. Krisher provided.  This includes the 25 areas that are being addressed and the recommendations provided thus far.
