3rd Quarter Meeting Minutes
October 4, 2004

• Mark Drengler, President, opened the meeting at 12:30PM with approximately 70 people in attendance at the Holiday Inn South in Independence, OH.

• Mark Drengler made an announcement for new board members. Mark Drengler, President, and Bruce Lehmkuhl, Secretary, will be stepping down after the December “4 th quarter” meeting.

• Mark Drengler discussed the potential for centralizing the meeting locations going forward. Asked for input from members and to discuss at a later date.

• Marc Oravecz and Eric Schmidt discussed long-term warranty issues / trends that we have seen recently. They requested members to get involved with letter writing campaigns / making phone calls to fight this issue with various owners / architects requiring long-term warranties.

• Mark Kelsey and Bill Lindenbaum of ODOT then were introduced as guest speakers and discussed the Bridge Painting Industry. ODOT requested the meeting. There have been problems with performance on bridge painting jobs by contractors as well as ODOT inspectors not performing their job. The various issues with this industry are being addressed and ODOT has put a plan in place going forward.

• The meeting was adjourned at approximately 2:15PM. The next meeting will be the Holiday gathering / meeting and will be held in the Columbus area in December ’04. The date and time will be announced at a later date.
